A Few More Steps

You guys are the best!

Thanks so much for all the great feedback on my
painted stairs project.
Right now, it seems that painting numbers is a "yes",
(but in black, not white).
With a painted runner underneath to add some color.
I also love the rope banister in yesterday's first image.
I am going to try to incorporate that as well.

I thought I would share some of the more "over the top"
steps that I have found.
These are all so imaginative and fun.

These last two images are from my friend,
Hannelore's house.
She had her children help with this
when they were quite young,
and now they are in High School and Middle School.
{which only seems to make it more special}
I love it when people let their personalities and
creativity shine in their homes.

Love the first image - I've always wondered why they stopped where they did? Works for me, though! :) Marija

Your friend is fabulous. The joy her kids must have felt every time they walked up the stairs when they were young.. and now - so special! xo

I still vote for stencils! And all I have to say is that if you've had more than one glass of wine, those multicolored steps are a no-go!!

Oh wow, more beautiful staircases... The colourful one reminds me of Paul Smith designs.
