Envy 101

Whenever I see a home with amazing artwork,
killer hardwood floors,
 dramatic stairways....
and breathtaking views
of the Long Island Sound...
it's hard for me not to feel flat out envious!
Do you ever get a case of the "greens"?
Are you feeling it now?

If you're really a glutton for envious emotions,
check out the rest of this beautiful home
on the designer's site:  Brooke Girty Design.

  1. I wasn't until I read this. After too little sleep last night....I'd love to be curled up with the paper and a cafe au lait on that sectional....with Maddie at her grandparents house of course :) Have a great day.

  2. I love the view of the ocean....Wish to have that bedroom and the staircases are fab...We got a fire place last year for your living room ...and the one on the photo is stunning! I love simplicity :)
Kisses and have a wonderful day!

  3. Oh yes, a bit of envy here too! I would love to be able to step right into that last photo and enjoy my breakfast, drink my coffee and just soak in the view. Mornings come way too early around here!

  5. Here's what I'm thinking...is that the laundry room where the washing machine is located? If it's the laundry room then I'm jealous of such an amazing laundry! If it is the kitchen, I'm confused...would the homeowner really want to toss in her laundry while she's spinning her salad? Regardless, the house is gorgeous!

  6. My green eyes are even greener - I don't think I've seen Brooke's work before so I can't wait to go to her site. I'm in love with the roof top reading nook...

  10. It IS my dream to live on the WATER someday and I'm putting it OUT there to the universe, often!!! The last two images especially fuel this dream. To wake up and see sunlight sparkling off the water or to be able to sit outside and just LOOK at it or hear it in the background as I read... that would be heaven on earth! What a lovely lovely home ~ thanks for fueling my water dreams!

  21. Gorgeous home and view. Love the sitting room (4th pic) with the ocean out the window. And I'm completely envious of any kind of laundry room, but this one? Wow.
Thanks for stopping by my "poor me" post. I really appreciate your kind words. This isn't the end of the world, that's for sure, just the scary uncertain beginning of a whole new one! Eek.
    Happy Thursday to you!

  22. I always hope that the people who live in beautiful homes like you mention appreciate every moment they spend there. Wouldn't it be a shame otherwise? Love the spaces you have shown. I'd love to live on the water again. I envy the absence of clutter. In a house of kids that is a constant struggle. Have a great day!
