"X" Marks The Spot

"X" marks the spot.
Not exactly "buried treasure,"
but, design element "gems" nonetheless....

These remind me of the old Highlights magazine, and finding the "hidden" pictures! There's a visual balance to the X, making it very appealing.

love it! it turns out that i like the "x" factor!

for some reason ever since i was a kid i loved seeing grids, especially when i could see structures being built. it is nice to know what the support system is, how it works....kind of like seeing the skeleton of a building and furniture.

yes, i am a weirdo. but you knew that by my new header. sorry it scared you! it is pretty much ridiculous, just like me! :)

I know don't you love Bobbie Brown!! Glad to hear you are lip product junky too! Do you buy almost the same colors like me? Happy Monday,Kathysue

I typically think this element is a bit too rustic- but there are some nice cleaned up versions here. Pretty!

PS. I am doing a giveaway on my website. You have to enter- its a gorgeous piece! www.aspiringkennedy.com

The first thing I notice in an image is the "x". Not sure why but my eye is just drawn to them. This post was fantastic. I did a similar post early in my blog and some of the "x's were so obscure it was like a game of Where's Wally, lol.
Thankfully yours were a little more overt:o)

Love, love, love the x motif. We are going to have some x designs in the new house, but softer curves. My designer always loves a good x.
