I love these little reading nooks! Perfect!! We have a corner of the house where we have put a leather ottoman, most of the time it acts a dog bed, with his faux-fur throw on it. But when we have a flat inspection or people over we disguise it as a reading nook by adding loads of cushions and some books onto the ottoman! It is a great disguise! :) Hazel
These are all so creative and inspiring. I'm a big fan of the built in window seat. I love the way all these take an awkward space and make it functional, attractive and add storage.
I always wanted a little window seat. They look like such peaceful happy places. Love these photos.*kisses* HH
That's all I need in this heat. A little place I can crawl into with a book or a magazine. That, and great ac.
I totally agree, these are SO cozy and wonderful! And the third to last pic with the four beds... what an amazing room!
Oh, I love these!!!! My parents summer house had a long upstairs hallway lined with window seats flanked by built in bookcases.....brings back wonderful memories! The first image is divine--a girl's dream!
I for sure love the 3rd one. It reminds me of the little window seat at my Grandparents home where I spent a lot of my Summers
obviously know i'm ALLLLLLLLLL head over heels for these ;O) ... my DREAM home will be built with lots of nooks and crannies and secret hidaways :o)*kiss kiss*Erika~Tiptoe Butterfly~
I love nooks! We have a bay window in our bedroom that I put curtains over but I haven't made it a cozy nook yet :)
These nooks are all very inviting! Although i don't have a window seat in my home, i've always admired them.
Good book, cuppa (or perhaps a wine depending on the time of day), a magazine when the book gets heavy going, a cat that doesn't bite...the possibilities of nooks are endless and wonderful!
I always wanted a cozy nook of my own as a child in which to create my own little beautiful corner of the world.
All of these are amazing! What kid would be thrilled to go sleep in their own nook? How fun! Great post. =)
I love that first colorful nook! I love how there is a cute little chandelier, it's gorgeous!! Have a good week! xo
I love the 5th nook...Its so cute and the colour is so relaxing:) Hope you had a wonderful weekend, sweetie:)Kisses
You have inspired me Zhush...I have a funny room called a 'sewing room' aka no windows, in the basement that I need to use as an overflow guest room when the kids come to stay. It has been a bit of a challenge to decorate, but if I think of it as a 'nook' rather than a room...well, it just might work. Perhaps a sleeper cabin on the Orient Express???Quite excited now...
I love cozy spaces....and these are the best I've seen. And as you know...today would be a great day to curl up with a book in a little nook or cranny!!! xoxo, Elizabeth
great round up. The picture with the bunk beds and blue chairs is particularly beautiful
I came across that second nook a while back and i still love that little nook!

Since I just relocated, I am still working on furnishing all the 'functional' (okay, necessary) spaces...but I cannot wait to get to the details of spaces just for pleasure (hello reading nook!).
I'm a hound dog for nooks! We stay in this glorious condo in Seaside, Florida with a nook that can only be reached with a 12-foot ladder. When you climb to the top, there is a queen bed inside. It's marvelous!
Oh how I love a snuggly nook.
I agree. Cozing up with a hot tea and a great book in a little nook is the best!!xo Marcie
that little attic looking nook that the little girl is standing in front of is magical.

Oh, I love all of these nooks! I had a window seat in my room growing up and loved it!! The tufted backed nook really appeals to me, thanks for sharing these great spaces :)Nancy
Beautiful pictures! When we lived in Australia our little daughter slept in a window nook (like in pic #2) - it was so romantic. xo
oh i so agree! kids kind find their own place to hang out - just give me one of these nooks and a cone of silence, and i'd be sooo happy righ now!! jx
These are wonderful! Reminds me of my childhood (and not so childhood dream) of wanting a window seat. I can just imagine getting lost in a book while soaking in the sunshine.Have a great week!
What adorable spaces, darling!Love these little nooks!xoxox,CC
So charming!! Love them!
Yes, little hide-aways like these are great. Our former mountain retreat in Sweden was a 150 year old house with the original inbuilt beds in the main room. Each had their individual hand carved wooden shutters (like cabinet doors almost) making them the ultimate nook. We'd always fight over who'd get to sleep in them! :)Loving your parade of more modern nooks. Am dreaming of one today I tell you! It's so cold here in Sydney - icy rain and thunder grey clouds.. x Charlotta
If I had one of these in my room, I'd just hide away in it all day! Cozy :)
Such a great choice of nooks, I'd love to curl up in one now with a good book!
How can I make a nook in my house?? I love these grown-up hideaways!
aahhhh, so adorable! I mean, a nook with tufted seating...I die!
Love the tufted wall! These are lovely nooks!
Susan, I just wanted to let you know that I've included this post in my weekly Cups of Tea that will post tomorrow. Fantastic collection of images - so fun! I hope your weekend is going well. =)
