I think you would look great in a maxi and a mini!

Great post! Love the gray Louboutins :)

bluehydrangea said...

Oh, right now I am so a maxi..but that could change. Love the rooms you picked!

quintessence said...

Know how you feel! I tend towards maxi but sometimes I just want to chuck it all and live with less. Especially love the first maxi!

Tina said...

I totally get what you mean. I´m all confused about my varouis taste.
All pics. are stunning. Love´em all. How could I possibly chose:)?
Have a great day.

Will @ Bright.Bazaar said...

I say: you can rock both looks! I'm more of a maxi kinda guy, but then again I do like a crispy white shirt and a cool, calm and collected grey interior sometimes, too!

Gretchen O. said...

It so depends on my mood. Can I be somewhere in between???

Debby said...

Oh, those gray pumps are awesome. I am NOT a minimalist! xo

Julie said...

I'm on the same page. I think I prefer the then type though.

I am so with you! I think I might have design schizophrenia (or similar affliction), I can never settle! XX!

Helena - A Diary of Lovely said...

oh wow, I love those purple louboutin!!!

David Toms said...

This case I am going for the maxi!

THE ALTERNATIVE WIFE said...

I'm so the same way! I'll take them all :) Happy Monday! xoxo

Why choose? Isn't it a woman's prerogative to change her mind as often as she wants? ;-) I like a mix (is that even possible) of mini and maxi and the above pics are all lovely anyway :-) Have a great week, Love from London x

I know exactly what you mean! I need two houses and two closets, keep the two looks separated. Fun post. XO

Gorgeous post perfectly illustrating why we can be so conflicted at times!
Hope you had a great weekend Sue!

ha ha, Sue! I usually fall on the maximalist side. I love my "stuff"!

I am in between, but I like my personal things, and that leads me away from minimalist. Stunning images!
Have nice day.

Yes I completely agree and completely adore this post. (not to mention the shoes) I love the simplicity of minimalist spaces but these other ones are so creative, colorful and well just amazing!

JulieB said...

I'm totally with you on this! I seem to veer wildly too.

Having just been to a party that was OTT, I'm feeling a bit minimalist today! Love the leopard pumps - meow!

This is such a great post!!! I love being a maxi girl but the practical side of me always goes mini. Boo! Live big, I say!

How do I love thee, Girl, let me count the ways ; )

Getting the biggest kick out of the last pair of faux-hawk, f-me pumps!

I thought this was a just a designer's curse! So glad it spills onto to people who just love great decor and have great style!

Loved the images to make your point. I tend to be more maxi in the colder months and then feel the need to shed when spring rolls around!

DiamondsandTulle said...

hahah! Isn't that the truth? It's easy to change it up with clothes and shoes - but the home is something that's harder to commit to right?

Loverly!! A little of both is the best choice. xoxo

The Glam Lamb said...

Hiiiiii! just stopping by to say whats up! i feel the same way. i am glam, boho, chic, layered, all while combined with clean, minimilistic with jere sculptures and adler pillows galore! haha

Stephanie said...

I WANT to live like a minimalist in theory, but I love too much fabulous stuff!

court. said...

i am an absolute maximalist. through and through.

Cristina @FUJI FILES said...

Ok, now I need to go shoe shopping. And I totally change depending on my mood. Some days I want all white, and some days I want to paint everything bright colors. That's where accessories are important ;)

xx Cristina

Stacey said...

Me too! I can so relate to this sentiment!

annechovie said...

I can totally relate, Sue. I know exactly what you mean! xx

VictoriaArt said...

Me, really I am a maximalist. Because I love so many things....and I love to see them.
But I have my moments...

Gramercy Home said...

I am a total split personality too. I just keep my bedroom pretty calm and let it go a little more "layered" in other rooms. One day I might find the perfect balance.

MISSY S said...

they are all beautiful! i think both mini and maxi will look good on you hun <3 youre pretty

Marcus Design said...

I definitely agree Sue!! I have my minimalist and maximalist moments all the time...wish I could have 1 house for each look, hee hee :)

Charlotta Ward said...

Yes yes yes..!!! Love all of these, but in the 'Spring time culling' mood that I am in, the 'minimalist' parade is what I gravitate towards right now! Bellissima baby!

xx C

Shelley Ann said...

can you combine the two?!

love this post! it would be great to be able to be that minimal but i love the books on the wall and making everything feel so homey!

Style Attic said...

Most of the time, I like a {little} maxed out action. However, every year around this time (Halloween thru X-Mas) I yearn for the mini vibe. I think b/c there is SO MUCH STUFF that enters the home during the holidays...or I like to call Holly Craze :) Either way, it's good to be versatile! I love your sense of style XOXO, Kelly

Mary Ann said...

i have those moments too. great photos! verbena cottage

Sara Louise said...

I'm a maxi girl! (but only in decor, in fashion, I'm a mini)

Mary Jo from TrustYourStyle said...

Great images! And sooo true, I feel the same! Luckily romantic minimalism is where fashion is heading so we'll be able to wear a little of both ;)

Those pink two-tones are great. As far as mini or maxi...it depends on the day for me. Love the post!
