  9. I say: you can rock both looks! I'm more of a maxi kinda guy, but then again I do like a crispy white shirt and a cool, calm and collected grey interior sometimes, too!

  10. It so depends on my mood. Can I be somewhere in between???

  11. Oh, those gray pumps are awesome. I am NOT a minimalist! xo

  12. I'm on the same page. I think I prefer the then type though.

  17. Why choose? Isn't it a woman's prerogative to change her mind as often as she wants? ;-) I like a mix (is that even possible) of mini and maxi and the above pics are all lovely anyway :-) Have a great week, Love from London x

  31. I am in between, but I like my personal things, and that leads me away from minimalist. Stunning images!

  32. Yes I completely agree and completely adore this post. (not to mention the shoes) I love the simplicity of minimalist spaces but these other ones are so creative, colorful and well just amazing!

  33. I'm totally with you on this! I seem to veer wildly too.

  43. I thought this was a just a designer's curse! So glad it spills onto to people who just love great decor and have great style!

Loved the images to make your point. I tend to be more maxi in the colder months and then feel the need to shed when spring rolls around!

  44. hahah! Isn't that the truth? It's easy to change it up with clothes and shoes - but the home is something that's harder to commit to right?

  49. Totally agree...I'm in need of three homes to do in different styles that I adore - hmmmm...what to do.

  50. I love a little stuff laying around, but both are great too.

    ReplyDelete
  51. brillaint post zushie - my two vices rolled into one! jxx

    ReplyDelete
  52. Loverly!! A little of both is the best choice. xoxo

  53. Hiiiiii! just stopping by to say whats up! i feel the same way. i am glam, boho, chic, layered, all while combined with clean, minimilistic with jere sculptures and adler pillows galore! haha

    ReplyDelete
  54. I WANT to live like a minimalist in theory, but I love too much fabulous stuff!

    ReplyDelete
  55. i am an absolute maximalist. through and through.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Ok, now I need to go shoe shopping. And I totally change depending on my mood. Some days I want all white, and some days I want to paint everything bright colors. That's where accessories are important ;)

  57. Me too! I can so relate to this sentiment!

    ReplyDelete
  58. I can totally relate, Sue. I know exactly what you mean! xx

    ReplyDelete
  59. Me, really I am a maximalist. Because I love so many things....and I love to see them.
    But I have my moments...

    ReplyDelete
  60. I am a total split personality too. I just keep my bedroom pretty calm and let it go a little more "layered" in other rooms. One day I might find the perfect balance.

    ReplyDelete
  61. they are all beautiful! i think both mini and maxi will look good on you hun <3 youre pretty

    ReplyDelete
  62. I definitely agree Sue!! I have my minimalist and maximalist moments all the time...wish I could have 1 house for each look, hee hee :)

  63. Yes yes yes..!!! Love all of these, but in the 'Spring time culling' mood that I am in, the 'minimalist' parade is what I gravitate towards right now! Bellissima baby!

  64. can you combine the two?!

love this post! it would be great to be able to be that minimal but i love the books on the wall and making everything feel so homey!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Most of the time, I like a {little} maxed out action. However, every year around this time (Halloween thru X-Mas) I yearn for the mini vibe. I think b/c there is SO MUCH STUFF that enters the home during the holidays...or I like to call Holly Craze :) Either way, it's good to be versatile! I love your sense of style XOXO, Kelly

  66. i have those moments too. great photos! verbena cottage

  67. I'm a maxi girl! (but only in decor, in fashion, I'm a mini)

    ReplyDelete
  68. Great images! And sooo true, I feel the same! Luckily romantic minimalism is where fashion is heading so we'll be able to wear a little of both ;)

    xo

    ReplyDelete
  69. Very fun post! There is so much beauty out there it is sometimes hard to decide!

  70. Those pink two-tones are great. As far as mini or maxi...it depends on the day for me. Love the post!
