Big Bubbles, No Troubles

Several months ago, I first spotted the work of talented artist Gian Garofalo, over on Desire To Inspire.  I was instantly captivated and needed to learn more about the artist.  This quickly led me to the Big Bubbles, No Troubles site, which contained all of the contact information for Gian.
I had been looking for ages for abstract, contemporary artwork that would give my very traditional dining room a bit of a modern edge, and yet still work with the overall design of the room.
After contacting Gian, I soon became very excited about the idea of having a custom piece of artwork made to my exact size and color specifications.  I knew that this was exactly what my dining room needed... and I really fell hard for the three dimensional quality of Gian's paintings.
Gian was amazing to work with, and he didn't even laugh at me when I sent him an email of my colorful candle arrangement in the dining room, (with the hopes of somehow coordinating the color palettes). You may remember my candles from Tuesday's post...
And, here is the fabulous piece Gian did for us, in all its' high gloss drippy glory, now hanging in our dining room.

Art washes away from the soul
the dust of everyday life.

I love it when I get "nabbed by beauty." After all, it is what we talk about day and night--beautiful homes, furniture, antiques, art and the joy of combining it all in different ways.
Best,

How fabulous!! And it's the 3D "drips" on the bottom that make it for me! Looks great against the pale blue. Art is definitely a crucial aspect to any room.

How fun. It must be cool to know that your piece is not like any others, that the artist made it specifically for you. Must be quite the conversation piece. I think what we hang on our walls speaks volumes about us and makes a home.

It's one thing to admire your talent for searching out and sharing great ideas....but you've taken this to a whole new level. Your painting is a masterpiece and what a fun shot of color and modern to balance out the traditional.

And speaking of that candle arrangement....did you notice the small round table yesterday? It reminded me of YOUR arrangement!
