A brief perusal of the March issue of Architectural Digest, the first under the helm of the magazine's newest editor in chief, Margaret Russell, was enough to convince me to subscribe. There were so many truly amazing interiors. My favorite, was by the Los Angelos design collective, Commune. Wouldn't living in these spaces be just like inhabiting one of Tom Ford's sexiest ad campaigns? Just the type of aspirational escapism I look for in a shelter magazine...

To me, that's a very sexy getaway! I'm anxious to flip through the issue :)
what an amazing space, fitted for what they do!
Good place to cozy on up! xo
I'll shake the Margaritas and you crush the ice. Then we park in the deck chairs in no 1..!
Divinity!

ACK! I cannot wait for my issue to arrive.
I know! I was loving the issue too :) I unsubscribed after about 10 years of being a loyal follower. Now I have to sign up again, as I will follow her eye where ever she may go!!
Totally with you!! The new March AD is FABULOUS and I have subscribed as well. What a welcome breath of fresh air!! She is such a talented editor!!
Looking forward to seeing it's new personality...so far...looks good!
I could live in that first image for sure, what's not to love?
Wow - a completely different world- one I would be happy to escape to! BTW, Sue, I wanted to let you know I put a link from my blog to your shop in today's powder room post. Have a lovely week!

I would love to relax there, eat good food, and take some rockin photos of the place. It looks heavenly!
I need to be sitting in front of the fire in the last image (with a cocktail of course) stat! Happy Monday! xx
This place looks so cool. I'd love to live there!
wow, very Tom Ford indeed! right about now, as i've mentioned to my significant other.....i need to get away for a few days before i go mad from the winter. LA would be a fine choice! thanks for sharing, i'll HAVE to pick up their new issue soon ;)
It would be the perfect backdrop for an independent film, perhaps a about a couple who rents this place to reignite their long lost flame, only not to be able to make that happen instead secrets are revealed...hmm I have way too much imagination..
Wow these look fantastic! I love the sun beds by the pool in the first one

Yes! I could hang with Tom in any of these spaces with our tight white jeans and black v-neck tshirts! :) xoxo
that's how we roll in los angeles, kid. come on out anytime. L.A. is one of my Eleven in '11 ... i'll send you the link (i'm only up to No. 5). as a former lawyer, i'm sure you've seen some LA Law ... ;)
I could really use a little retreat into any one of these images. I think I'd come out a better person.
Now you've got me thinking seriously about picking up AD again.
I love the organic feel of this.. it's like living in a nature spa. I'm especially drawn to that fireplace and the skylight!
so pretty

I am really hoping for the best with this new editor for A.D., once my favorite interiors magazine and publisher of several of my own projects.
The spaces look so calm, green (organic), and totally inviting. Now I want a copy of the magazine, definitely.
This is rustic chic at it's best! And I just have to say I *love* that purple, too!!! Lots of love today...
Oh, yes, very un-Unhappy Hipsters! XX!
Lots of wood, very earthy.
I'm so down with Commune and was floored by AD.

Absolutely adore the cottage look and the simplicity of this home!
Also would like to thank you for being such a great support when I was struggling, getting no feedback at my blog. You were truly one of those whom made me go on with it, not letting me give up and the outcome is beyond words. I´m so grateful, THANK YOU Sue for helping me out!
Happy new week!
I am in LOVE with commune. They were recently in House Beautiful as well - which seems a little off their track, but it was one of the principal's houses. They have such a great style and cool concept for a firm.
Geesus, this looks like the house in "A Single Man" doesn't it? Gotta grab the new AD this afternoon. Have a lovely week, Sue (did you enter our giveaway?).
This needs to be my next home.
Definitely looking forward to seeing this issue of Architectural Digest, love the style of this home.
