All Eyes Upon The United Kingdom

As the coverage of the Royal Nuptials this coming Friday comes to a frenzied peak, I'm reminded of one of my favorite interiors from a different part of The Kingdom (but Royal nonetheless).  The Scottish farmhouse of model Stella Tennant, a grand daughter of the Dowager Duchess of Devonshire, other wise known as the youngest Mitford Sister.  A fascinating family to say the very least... As to these spaces, I love how the farm house sensibilities mix so beautifully with the regal architecture here.

I've always loved this space as well!! I don't think I've ever seen these shots without the family. Usually there is the activity of her adorable family!! And just heard weather for today - you should be happy - going to be very warm!!

I read The Mitford Sisters a few years ago, such a fascinating family. I had no idea Stella Tennant was a granddaughter. Nicolex

Love every single room....elegant but understated and not at all stuffy. Love how sunlit each room, nothing quite like the refinement of the English!

I've seen this and love it for the reasons you mentioned. My two favorite elements, lots of sun with gorgeous windows minus window treatments; and the teepee! My son has one, but he actually has turned something simple into something dangerous. He likes to climb to the top of the teepee and try to sit where all the bamboo sticks come together.

So very gorgeous...it's the perfect country home...comfy but not too country that it's not chic (c: But hello, what's this??? A teepee in the backyard? Random, yet charming.

That wallpaper in the 4th pic down (the office -- it's almost too pretty to be called an office) is just beautiful!
