Showhouse Season

Springtime means Showhouse season across the nation, as charities and decorators get together to raise money, awareness and designers' profiles, all at the same time.  I'm looking forward to attending the Westchester Showhouse later this week, so I thought I would highlight the work of Carey Karlan of Last Detail interior design. Carey's beautiful room for this year's Showhouse  (as seen above) is garnering a lot of positive attention.  A purple loving girl after my own heart, here's a look at some more of Carey's work.

Hi Sue! Looks like I will have to honor to be the first one to comment on this chic post- love the zebra inspired room!!! All in my taste at this time(being totally hooked on the safari- inspired home decor).
Showhouse Season Sounds so much fun!!! Have never heard of it before. Wish they would have something like that here in Sweden- inspiring for sure and for a good cause!
Happy Monday!!!

That is one heavenly, purple plush seating area! Love the rug and the light fixture, too! Asuka is to die for, I would love to house up there for a day with a good book and some hot coffee. MMMM!
