Beach Folly

I fell hard for this charming beach bungalow, designed by Amelia T. Handegan, and seen in last month's Architectural Digest. Located in Folly Beach, South Carolina...the ~~nerdy geek,~~ English Major in me, can't resist the irony here. One of the definitions for "folly" found in Webster's Dictionary is "a costly ornamental building with no practical purpose," hardly how I would describe this perfect beach retreat. Quite the opposite, actually.
