Creative Color

I completely flipped for this Westchester, New York home designed by Healing Barsanti in House Beautiful.  As we start to head into the darker, drearier months, I've been contemplating adding more cheerful colors to my own interior spaces...and if ever there was a case to get more creative with the use of bright and happy hues, this stunning residence is it! Do you prefer bright colors in your home or play it safely chic with neutrals?

  3. Love that first bedroom! I generally stick to neutrals and then keep switching things up with cushions in colours and patterns - an easy change when I tire of them. :)

  8. Have pops of lime green in my family room and aiming to add some purple to my master bedroom... after the fall leaves fade, I so need some cheery hues around me!

  9. Beautiful blog! I always end up purchasing neutrals for my home but tend to be drawn to photos of homes with lots of color. Hmmm...guess I need to start with pillows and finally make that furniture purchase! :)

  10. I am all about color and if it cheerful and Spring-like I am so there!! I have never been a neutral gal only in my dress, but even then I will always add a pop of color that is cheerful. Love love the fist image of the black and white with pops of cobalt. This is the color scheme in my backyard and I love love it!! Kathysue

  11. I tend to play it safely chic with neutrals most of the times. I do have a soft spot for lavender therefore love the last bedroom foto.

  12. I prefer a house that has a nice mixture of both. It is always how the spaces are pulled together as to whether or not it comes across as good design or not. I saw this home and thought it was fab too! My dining room is a perfect example of color, yet sophistication. I especially like drama in a dining room!
