Today Is Where Your Book Begins

I just scooped up a bunch of these fun and colorful journals from Anthropologie.  There is something so incredibly inspiring and optimistically hopeful about the prospect of filling up a blank notebook!  While I adore my macbook pro, it's really just not the same...for me, the best way to get my creativity flowing is still the old fashioned way, with pen in hand.  How about you?

  1. Love the colours and there is something so nice about starting a new journal - as long as I don't get "blank-canvas-syndrome" ;-) xo

  2. Love the last one. I usually keep one of these around for blogging to write down email address, html codes, etc. Antro truly has the cutest things! xo

  4. I could not agree with you more! In a world that is trying to promote electronic and paperless, I tend to resist. I love paper!

  7. I always keep a notebook going and renew them every January as I don't like to carry the old into the new year.

  9. I adore the feeling and sound of writing with a pencil and paper. I'm partial to feathers so I'd pick that one but love the message in the last one.

  10. I carry a notebook with me everywhere -- but the ones I use at work aren't nearly this cute. Maybe I need to brighten my day with these lovely journals!

  12. When I travel? Yes, it's all about pen and paper and my moleskin book. But these look so wonderful, much more enticing than my plain ol black one.

  13. What great gift ideas!! I, too, need to write (actually scribble) out ideas - I love to use my custom Dabney Lee notebook. Makes me happy just reaching for it!

Love what you found at Anthropologie. I often spend more there than I planned!

  18. I am definitely still a pen and paper girl for many things - there's something so satisfying about making a list, jotting down ideas or making a sketch by hand!

  20. So pretty. I love picking up journals. I always have the best intentions and then after a page or two they are forgotten, but at least they are still pretty.
