Lately, I've had books on my brain even more so than usual. Not only am I on a never ending quest for a good read, but I've also been looking for some story books for my children, some coffee table books for decor and finally for some interesting novels to give as gifts this year. So, stumbling across the work of Jane Mount and her Ideal Bookshelf project, was quite serendipitous! How great is the idea of having your absolute favorite tomes lined up in a clever work of art like this? You simply send Jane all the titles and she puts together these fabulous "ideal bookshelf" illustrations. Wouldn't these make such a wonderful gift for practically anyone on your list...and the best part, it's like a mini introspective portrait of the person whose "ideal" this represents. Adding the "ideal bookshelf" to my own wish list for sure!

Oh, this is such a great idea....THanks for the heads up....love it!
ReplyDeleteOh how I would love to have more books for my coffee table and bookshelves. More specifically, how I would love to have a Chanel book or two for my collection...
ReplyDeleteI have two of her cookbook prints in my kitchen and love them!
ReplyDeleteThis is the perfect gift for me! Are you listening out there people?
ReplyDeleteOh, I love her. Actually, I have posted about this project before. I agree that there is something to suit everyone...such a good gift idea. xo
ReplyDeleteTotally smitten with these designs! I would love to get a few framed to hang like a bookcase by my desk.

ReplyDeleteNo way! I love that and I know my husband would love a gift like that also. I'm dreaming of all my favorite books right now...
ReplyDeleteThis is brilliant!!! I'm thinking a line up of 39 Clues, Alex Rider and James Bond for my son - he's become a voracious "spy novel" reader and this would be so fun for his room!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat find, Sue!
