Coastal Chic

Surfing the net...I came across this chic coastal abode over on New England Home Magazine and was stopped dead in my click clicking tracks.  The designer/owners are the talented team of Bierly Drake.  Black and white with brass accents suddenly seems so fitting for a home by the sea...I just love it. You can check out the rest of this charming house here.

  2. Wow! It also has a campy feel, but in a totally glam way. So interesting. And the accessories in that first image puts it over the moon. Never underestimate the power of a great do dad!! M.

  11. A bit of black can make such an impact in home decor, i believe in the theory that we should have a touch of black in every room.

  12. This is a home on Nantucket that Michael Partenio shot and I styled. The design was by the homeowners, Lee Bierly and Chris Drake of Bierly Drake in Boston. Unfortunately, Lee passed away from pancreatic cancer last year. It is still one of my favorite homes we've done (it was also on the cover of New England Home) and I feel so lucky to have had that time with Lee. He was an incredible designer.

  14. Absolutely inspirational! I really like how this is different from the 'same-old, same-old', lol! Some very neat nuances of Americana, coastal & traditional with hints of contemporary whimsy to it. Thanks for sharing this fabulous interior!

    Best wishes,
