LOL. This post is so fun and carefree. Channeling your inner eight year old indeed!;-)

Plastic life really is fantastic!! Where do you find this stuff? Love the Barbie sunburst mirror!!
ReplyDeleteVery fun!
ReplyDeleteOh, how fun! Brings back the BEST memories, I LOVED Barbie when I was little (secretly still do!). Fabulous post! So clever!
ReplyDeleteOkay can I be honest? I am TOTALLY freaked out by the mirror and the game thingy?! The dream house I can handle, but all those barbies lined up I are so creepy!
ReplyDeleteHillarious! I love the shoe ring. And before I knew they were barbies, the mirror looked AWESOME!
ReplyDeleteHahahah...When I was little I had that beautiful Barbie with a pink gown and a crown...oh I remember how much I loved playing with her!
ReplyDeleteLook at those Barbie shoe rings? Oh, it makes me smile!
Thanks for that!
Great post!
Awesome ! That ring took me a minute to figure out.....
ReplyDeleteThe mirror is my favorite---Adler is so hilarious. Fabulous!
ReplyDeleteXX katie
So fantastic! I want to play with the Barbie football team!
ReplyDeleteI love the Barbie Adler collection so cute!
ReplyDeleteThese are too much fun!!
ReplyDeleteLove it....fun post!
ReplyDeletethese are awesome! love the mirror but the shoe rings are great - would have been great to make with all those single barbie shoes since i always managed to lose one!
ReplyDeleteI got the townhouse for Christmas one year. It had an elevator and I thought it was the best thing in the whole world.
ReplyDeleteThe image is actually a print from Etsy shop "Studio Lyon". You should look her up -- She has some very cute things! I also have a small link credit at the bottom of yesterday's post. :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. I'm pretty sure I would actually wear one of those Barbie shoe rings for a fun night out!
ReplyDeleteMy nine year old son picked out a pink and white Barbie basketball (proceeds go to breast cancer research) the other day at the store and said "Mom, may I?" and I said "But it's pink!" and he said, "Don't you like Barbie???" Enough said!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, Barbies just make me bitter because they were my older sister's thing and she would never share. But throw an American Girl doll at me and I am set. I guess that's why I'm such a nerd now :)
ReplyDeleteI am pretty jealous of the Louboutin Barbie.
ReplyDeleteBarbie is literally the greatest thing ever. I love the shoe ring!

that sunburst mirror with barbies.....how cool is that. and the louboutin barbie..oh yeah. im jealous of her too!
ReplyDeleteI have a huge smile on my face right now!! Ohmygoodness, it's been so long since I've thought of those barbie shoes. That used to be so much fun dressing them in different styles!
ReplyDeleteI love these Barbies! They are so chic!
ReplyDeleteI had that very first Barbie! My Uncle was the owner of a toy shop and he gave it to me as a gift...now that tells you more than you needed to know... I wish I had kept her!
ReplyDeleteAnd... he gave her to me when I was still in the womb...........................
Haha. That Barbie shoe ring is awesome. I love Barbie... although I know I'm a little too old to admit that.
ReplyDeleteI must be getting old, the foos ball table freaked me out. Poor Barbie without arms, they should have joined the arms then they would have looked like the Rockettes Barbie style. I can imagine playing with the doll house so I guess I still have an inner 8yr.old in here somewhere!!
ReplyDeleteThat fuseball table definitely creeps me out a bit -- Barbie has lost her arms!
ReplyDeleteI never owned a barbie... Dolls were not my thing. I used to copy words off the blackboard in nursery school... More proof that personality is really inborn!
ReplyDeletehahahaha... great tribute to the doll who inspires us all :)
ReplyDeleteGreat post!!! So fun!!!
ReplyDeleteBarbie was born the same year as moi. How does she do it?
I loved playing with my Barbie dolls when little. I think my older sister had that exact dream house and my mom says she found me trying to get in it, lol. I guess I wrecked them too. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat post.
I love Barbie!! I always tried to get my daughter to play when she was little but she never got into it. lol
ReplyDeleteLife in plastic, it's fantastic indeed! This post totally made me happy :)
ReplyDeleteSo loving the Barbie foosball. OMG amazing!!!
Wonderful website :) Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. You have brought my childhood back to me with the barbie dolls, I loved them as a child :) Barbie was always so stylish and her house was always lovely pinks :)
ReplyDeleteAll things nice...
I LOVE that Barbie mirror! I want it for my apt's hallway NOW!
ReplyDeleteGreat themed post!

What a trip, Sue! I had a first editon Barbie (actually, I still do) when I was a preteenager. I remember playing with her until I was at least 13. At that time, little bitty girls didn't play with Barbies because they were semi-anotomically correct! What a hoot. Thanks for the trip down memory lane. Oh, and the creative Mr. Adler is amazing in the way he has created design with her form...very smart marketing strategy too. Who from my generation wouldn't want those!
ReplyDeleteA Barbie Foosball table!! Genius.
ReplyDeleteHa this is so fun- going to include in my Friday Faves tomorrow :)
ReplyDeletewow, artistically created! i started taping 9 by design and cant wait to watch it...i love reality shows verbena cottage
ReplyDeleteMy little girl never played with Barbie much. My sister said it had something to do with my telling her with those eyebrows and that hair, no way she was a natural blonde. My little 3 year old would nod along as if she knew exactly what I meant.
ReplyDeleteSo that's where all my barbie shoes went!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteokay, this was great. brought back a flood of memories of my Skipper where you twist her arms around and she grows boobs. and she had a big patch of hair missing on the top. i want that ring with the barbie shoes!
ReplyDeleteBarbie! I loved Barbie when I was a little girl. I had a few. I liked to cut their hair. Haha.
ReplyDeleteGIVEAWAY time!

These are fabulous!!!
ReplyDeleteYou and me both, sister! I loooooved Barbie. Mine always ran a boutique, and my primo item for sale was a fur coat. Fabulous!! I so want to buy the Jonathan Adler Barbie furniture just 'cause. I'll have to let you know when I post about my new client who is moving into what she calls the "Barbie Dream House." She sent me the funniest thing that I just have to share!
ReplyDeleteI guess maybe I have outgrown Barbie, a doll that she is!!

Have you seen the new limited-edition Louboutin Barbie? She comes complete with four pairs of Louboutins-- what a fabulous life. I lived and breathed my Barbie dream house when I was a little girl. Haven't thought about it in months.. that picture is bringing back memories!
ReplyDeleteThese are so fun - but I think that Barbie mirror looks more like an old fashioned swim scene from a musical - you know, where everyone is swimming in formation in the water!

Ahhhhhhhhh, I miss my Dream House!!
ReplyDeleteYes those were the days!
ReplyDeleteI never had the house. I got the campervan instead.. complete with fold out jacuzzi and horse trailer.. Oh man I LOVED that car!
That first image reminds me of an Esther Williams movie scene.. Something out of 'Through Fire and Water'.. Hilarious and deliciously camp!
Happy weekend dear!
x Charlotta

Wow, these must be serious collectors items!
ReplyDeleteThe barbie shoe rings are cool, I guess we could all recycle our barbie accessories...that is, if we knew where we can still find them, lol!
That Barbie foosball table is just about the funniest damn thing I have ever seen.
