ReplyDeletegreat piece, babe. these are good. I love the titles almost as much as the work. 'roots of heaven' and 'five forgotten thoughts'...
ReplyDeleteThese are awesome... but those poppies are a little gruesome looking. Everything else, awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love when I open up your latest post and see something totally unfamiliar. I know you'll give a proper introduction and I'll have a new go to source. This was definitely one of those days!! Totally agree with Catherine about those poppies but I still sort of like them. But then again, I sometimes like sad art. Not sure what that says about me...

ReplyDeleteReally beautiful, and it shows a resurrection of the almost lost art of "scherenschnite"...(can't be sure of the spelling) or paper cutting. He's done a great job of taking his talent and clever thinking into a medium that was ripe for a redo.

ReplyDeleteI find something so powerfully serene about skilled paper artwork such as the sublime pieces above. It resonates with a wonderfully timeless quality (evocative in some regards of vintage and antique silhouette portraits) that sooths my nerves and makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteThank you very much for highlighting these creative gems, and also for your lovely comment on Chronically Vintage. It's a joy to make your acquaintance, my dear! :)
