Greetings from what looks like the North Pole here in New York! Hope you all had a lovely holiday. With negative degree temps whipping around outside, I'm ready to curl up in front of a crackling fire with some good books, a pile of tartan blankets, my entire net flix que and my latest obsession....microwave popcorn drizzled with white truffle oil and sea salt! I plan on staying in my toasty flannel PJs all day! What are you craving today?

this looks super relaxing and cozy - esp those PJs! hope you had a lovely christmas, friend.
ReplyDeleteWith 18+ inches of snow and still coming down and the the wind whipping about outside I'll take some of what you have today! Those pajamas look cozy!
ReplyDeleteOh Sue - just what I was thinking as I stare out our kitchen window at the blanket of white - our bird feeders are getting MAJOR action today!! For me, the Paul Newman microwave popcorn qualifies as its own food group - must try the truffle oil!!
ReplyDeleteWe don't have any snow and I'd love a to have a good excuse for hibernation. PJ's all day sound totally perfect in my books- the holidays are so exhausting!
ReplyDeleteSeeing plaid always makes me feel cosy.
ReplyDeleteLooks cozy! No snow in Seattle - maybe later this week - but rain, rain, and more rain. I would love to stay in my PJs all day - no such luck! Have a great week and stay warm!

I love the pics and the jammies!
ReplyDeleteWhen I made all of my tie blanket gifts, I realized I made so many of them plaid. When my son got the brown one, he told me there are plaid flanel shirts out there everywhere! Now I see all of your room pics with it. Well, I guess I'm attracted to it somehow and didn't even realize it. I hope it's here to stay for awhile!
Stay warm and cozy:)

I love lighting a fire in my fireplace, making a cup of hot cider with spiced rum and spending the day reading.
ReplyDeleteI am actually still in my pj's. I am ready to fly south for the winter. I am craving sun & heat! Try to stay warm in NY:)

I love your plan for keeping cozy and warm today! I just sat down to do a little blogging before taking my kiddies outside to go sledding at 11. The tartan touches in the pj's and all of the rooms is sheer perfection. I'm currently working on a man's study and adding a touch of old world tartan to the look! Oh, your popcorn obsession sounds like something I will have to try!
ReplyDeleteI love cozy! I had the fireplace roaring last night and watched a favorite holiday movie, Love Actually. Have you tried popcorn with truffle butter? It's sooo good! A little sprinkling of freshly grated parmesean doesn't hurt either!
ReplyDeleteSue you and I are thinking alike!!!TAke a look at my post and you will see exactly what I am doing for the next few days after Christmas. No snow here in Calif, but it is cool and crisp outside so staying in feels perfect!! Kathysue
ReplyDeleteoh yeah! it's like being inside a snow globe here at my little cottage ;) we are hunkered in too, though we may find the little kids in us and head out to partake in a little bit of sledding at the golf course near our house. fun fun! enjoy your delish popcorn!!
ReplyDeleteWe have a lot of snow here too... these rooms are just perfect. I am doing the same thing, we all have a touch of the flu. :(
ReplyDeleteFunny...I am sitting in bed curled up with a book and blogging while in my black and white buffalo plaid pajamas!
ReplyDeleteXOXO

Ok, we are in summer here in Brasil, so it's very, very hot.
ReplyDeleteI miss cold so much, I hate to sweat, so when I see images like that tartan pj's I think I should fly to New York, but the flights were cancelled because of the snow storms and that's why I'm staying here, melting ... rsrsrsss
Hot hugs from Brasil.

Plaid and snow...like peas in a pod, they go together. Sounds like a perfectly wonderful day to me! Here's to lazy winter days!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you! Still in my flannel pjs in a warm and cozy bed reading blogs! As far as I'm concerned, it's still the holidays! Hoping you are staying warm and enjoying your movies and a nice roaring fire!

Let me tell you where I was when you posted this - Orlando, Florida at Disney's Animal Kingdom, freezing our you-know-whats off! It was 45 degrees with whipping winds. I could have used some major cozy that day (stupid me didn't bring gloves or a heavy coat). Of course it was back to the 70's - on the day we left - lol!
ReplyDeleteIt's absolutely FREEZING here in Minnesota, and I'm with you on this one -- seriously time for pajamas and blankets!
