Jewelry, like everything else in the fashion world is cyclical. With statement bib necklaces and knuckle dusting cocktail rings having run their course for quite some time now, it won't be long before brooches have their moment in the spotlight again. Fortunately, there are amazing examples at every price point. These beauties range from $36.00 on up to six figures! Can you tell which is which?
i have some of the most fabulous kjl brooches...i put them on coats, blazers, and use them to pin sweaters :)
ReplyDeleteThe second one is so beautiful:) Have a great day

ReplyDeleteI have always loved brooches. While I sell mostly necklaces in my shop, it's the brooches I am always drawn to when buying.
ReplyDeleteThe owl is so beautiful; and he looks like he has a real expression on his face! Amazing.
ReplyDeleteThe feather one is my favorite!! :)
Is the first one the most expensive? That's my guess.
I completely agree that broaches are about to have their hay day. They are a long forgotten accessory that you can really do a lot with. I can't wait to get back home and raid my grandma's jewelry box for some old classics :)
ReplyDeleteI have some beautiful brooches from my aunt and mother. These are certainly beautiful choices, Sue.

ReplyDeleteI ADORE brooches, especially vintage (or vintage inspired ones)! Great round up!!
ReplyDeleteThese are fab. I have a few vintage ones that I picked up at the Puce de Vanves a few years back and love wearing them as a little bit of unexpected sparkle - especially with a simple pair of jeans, a white T and black jacket...
ReplyDeleteHave lovely day!

I love vintage pins...they are great on a pashmina this time of year.
ReplyDeleteI've always loved pins - my grandmother had a huge collection of beauties and I used to love looking at them in her jewelry box. They make even the most casual outfit look chic! :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. My guess would the owl at being one of the most expensive.
ReplyDeleteI adore brooches! My father in law picked out one for Christmas for me a few years ago.. it was the sweetest thing ever :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteI love #4 and the second to last.
ReplyDeleteAnd why have you not posted the retro yellow, blue and pink sapphire brooch by Van Cleef & Arpels from Beladora.com. It is magnificent.

Gorgeous! I need to get into pins. I cannot tell the difference between expensive and Target jewelry. I'm the worst at that!
ReplyDeleteAll stunning but I'm one of those odd women who feels out of sorts when wearing jewellery.
ReplyDeleteI'm not even going to try to guess, lol! But I do know that it never fails, anytime I go anywhere shopping, I ALWAYS pick up the most expensive thing first! XX!

ReplyDeleteI have always loved the look of brooches and sometimes even wear them myself. There is a book ou there that chronicles Madeleine Albright's famous pins that is a delight to read...can find it on Amazon. You might enjoy all the lovely pics and stories behind her pins.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, gorgeous - loving the feather and turquoise and coral numbers!
ReplyDeleteOoh, I just love a good brooch -- I'm thinking of saving some up for a brooch bouquet!
