Like most, I've been obsessed with Emmanuelle Alt's street fashion for ages! Something about her innate sense of French styling seems almost accessible to me. So, I was thrilled to learn that Ms. Alt has been promoted to Editor in Chief at French Vogue. Félicitations pour votre nouvel poste Mademoiselle Alt!

perfect style! Congrats to her!
ReplyDeleteIf you've got it, you've just got it! She must be incredibly tall. These images are great!!
ReplyDeleteYes, I love her! She always looks so simply chic.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy Sunday ;)

she has great style! and great legs... that little girl is just adorable...
ReplyDeleteit's indeed a huge role and applauses to her. i wish her all the best.
ReplyDeleteher style transmits to me more modesty, down to earth, something that i like to see in women (and men too).
... down to earth attitude, i mean :)
ReplyDeleteShe had me at that leopard coat- a huge congrats to her!
ReplyDeleteIt just seems so effortless!!
ReplyDeleteYou always find the best images! Oh to have legs that thin... ;o)
ReplyDeleteNot many can rock the skinny jean like she can!
ReplyDeletelove her style, simple yet sophisticated and love her little one too! great choice
ReplyDeleteOh Lord, now you've done it.
ReplyDeleteHer chic but edgy Parisian ensembles are making me weep -- that's pretty much my favorite look.
Also am balling over the fact that my kiddo inherited one of those Burberry trenches from my now 30 yr-old brother, but I fear this'll be the last winter it will fit him -- boo-hoo.
All so, so glam dear Zhush.
And kudos for rockin' the francais ;P
Cheers, Alcira

Can I have that look and that body. She has an amazing aura about her. I am so behind on the fashions these day. Are ballet flats in?
ReplyDeleteOh boy, for the sake of my circulation I wanted to give up my skinny jeans this year but I guess she will make them the law now in Europe. Oh yeah and I'm going to be 47 this year - another reason to be a tad more ladylike
ReplyDeleteShe will do a wonderful job.
ReplyDeleteLove the way she works jeans and a leather jacket. So chic!
She is effortless, and not too pretty in the face either, or perfect, which I appreciate. True chic.
ReplyDeleteshe is definitely the right choice to take over that position!
ReplyDeleteJust beautiful. Would be wonderful to be this tall.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this inspiration. I LOVE the leopard jacket is gorgeous.

She has fabulous "undone" hair, too! I love it!
ReplyDeleteThat second picture...I want that coat. She definitely has style....
ReplyDeleteWoah. What happened to Corinne Roitfeld? This girl does have great style too though.
ReplyDeleteLove her style! I am feeling inspired!
ReplyDeleteTres chic..I want to be like her when I grow up!! Sinead
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing style!!! So fresh and her simplicity is just perfect!! Thank you for your kind words on Coeur de La. Looking forward to following your blog!! XO!
ReplyDeleteIt can't hurt being so tall and skinny, but I agree with you that she has a very accessible style. Most could pull all these looks without dropping to much change. Thanks for the "stylish" post...k
ReplyDeleteI think she will bring Paris Vogue to a place it's not been in a long time (like 10 years), more about fashion, less about nudity and none of the shameless promotions of people who, while important, don't own the universe. She will be so refreshing! And, to me, she's been the Parisian icon of fashion (if you don't count the very very wealthy). xx's
ReplyDeleteShe's INSANELY chic! I love that studded leather blazer.

She is the epitome of cool! Great post. I've always loved that one of she and her daughter. Can you imagine your mother being the E-i-C of French Vogue?!
ReplyDeleteGreat style and she can really rock a pair of skinny jeans!
ReplyDeleteShe's incredibly chic. How do the French always make it look so easy?
ReplyDeleteOh I want the last to jackets, how divine. You always find such beautiful pieces to show us Sue! And I love the little girl in the first photo, so cute!

ReplyDeleteWell thank goodness they had the sense to do what was expected. She's got great approachable style - now if I were just 6" taller and 20 lbs thinner perhaps I could emulate this!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy for her! Woohoo! Exciting!
ReplyDeleteSome people are just born with it.
ReplyDeleteThat gal would make a paper bag have style.
