Sunday Style Obsession: Red Carpet Fashion

It's always fun to look back at the greatest sartorial hits of red carpet seasons past, to see the dresses that launched a million knockoffs and trends.  These amazing gowns and the women that wear them never go out of style...
Will you be watching to see what this year's red carpet holds in store?

Saturday Shop Talk

Inspired by all the floral looks for Spring 2011, but not sure how to wear them?
(ya' know, like in the real world?)

Don't worry, we've got you covered!  These fun floral scarves are new in the shop for Spring, and perfect if you just want a hint of floral in your look, without going full on garden party.  I'm partial to the purple one, but they also come in orange,
and a lovely shade of green!
They're a great way to add a little bit of Spring into your life and your closet, right now!  And, if chevron is more your thing...the purple scarves are finally back in stock!

Random Chanel Item

No. 55

I'm floored...

flattered and thrilled by the amount of "Random Chanel Items" that get sent to me each week!  (Keep em' coming!) Thank you Kathy of Never Enough Thyme, for thinking of me with this one!  Our plans for the weekend are still not set, but sometimes no plans are the best plans, right?

Wishing you a wonderful weekend,
filled with spontaneous fun!

Collecting Possibilities

I have always loved the idea of collections...despite the fact that I don't really have any of my own.  To passionately seek out and hunt for one particular item, whether it be cookie jars or postcards, paperweights or lunch boxes...there is something so aesthetically pleasing about a grouped collection of like items.  Needless to say, when I recently stumbled across the home of Stacy Weiss of Weisshouse, I was instantly enamored with all of it!
What about you? Any collectors out there?

No Matter How Long The Winter...

Obsession Du Jour: Bella Foster

The artist, Bella Foster, first showed up on my radar over a year ago.  Kate Spade, had hired Ms. Foster to illustrate the company's calendar for 2010.  I was instantly hooked, and ever since I've been following the work of this whimsical artist. In fact, Bella Foster can even be found occasionally blogging over at Here There And Them.  Between her colorful imagery, (often compared to Matisse) and her subject matter of choice...interiors, isn't it easy to see why I just adore her work?

Alpha Mom

Libby Black, Goyards ABC
If you were to buy a Goyard bag, and have it monogrammed, you would choose from these letters and colors.  Libby Black, the artist that created this fun and fashionable print, is so clever...what better way to learn your ABCs than to have Goyard in mind?  This would be adorable hanging in a nursery. Actually, it would be really cute in my office too!

The Designer's Eye

Since I was familiar with the Buck House store, in New York City,  I decided to check out the web site.  Aside from an amazing collection of furnishings and artwork, I stumbled upon these creative tableaus, under a section entitled "The Designer's Eye".  Gazing at these lovely ensembles is like taking a crash course in arranging "picture perfect" vignettes.  The relationship of the objects to each other, the varying heights, the sense of whimsy all seems to come together beautifully, creating "real life" still lifes!

Sunday Style Obsession: Jason Wu Accessories

Can you get over the amount of coverage of New York Fashion Week?  These days, it's almost like being there.  Until that day, I'm happy to have what feels like each and every look at my finger tips on the internet.  Wading through all these images, I always come back to accessories.  Aren't they always just so much more...accessible?  This season, it's Jason Wu's Miss Wu line that I'm coveting, right down to that whimsical little owl logo!

This last image...don't you just want to print it out and frame it?
