Impulse Purchase

I was lamenting the demise of Vogue Living, here in the states, when a friend reminded me that you can buy Vogue Living Australia and read it online via zinio.  You even have the option of buying just one issue (like an actual news stand), which is what I did.  Sometimes, I still like to have the actual magazine, if Vogue Living were still around, I'd still be subscribing...but I really have come to appreciate the whole digital magazine world. My wide Mac screen's lighting often lends the online photos some extra oomph and of course I love the ability to click on images and instantly see the shopping source, it's truly amazing.  Also amazing, getting a much missed shelter magazine delivered to my computer from the other side of the world in just a few short clicks...oh, and the content isn't too shabby either.

  2. This is good to know! I had no idea. And the fact that you can buy just one....no risk! perfect. I love that the sources are right there on online mags....but gosh I love passing the pages and having it physically in my hands....but alas we must get used to technology.

  6. Sue, what a genius idea. I'm not sure why, but I never would have thought to subscribe to some of my favorite international magazines via zinio. I just made an impulse purchase myself - a year of Vogue India. Thank you! PS - I also miss Vogue Living - I still refer to my Fall/Winter 2006 copy!

  12. If you're just hankerin' for a hard copy, most Barnes & Nobles have VLA though about a month late.

They just lost their long-time editor, David Clark. I'm not sure what was happening behind the scenes, but he *was* VLA. It will be interesting to see what new direction the magazine will take.

P.S. You'd probably like Inside Out, another fab Aussie shelter mag.

  13. Gorgeous shots....and thank goodness VLA is still around. Though reading Raina's comments, I might need to get my back issues fast!! :)

    Where your wellies today?!

  14. I'd love to have this issue myself from the looks of these pics— however the later part of last year I decided not to purchase any more magazines after I cleared out all except my Domino and Martha Stewart mags...yes Martha. When I do buy shelter mags I tend to purchase ones from the 70s 80s when I find them.
