Organized Home Office Inspiration

Not only do I work from home, but just like these sweet little offices here, my work space is super tiny.  What was once our former laundry room, is now my little office nook.  I need to make every inch count. I'm always looking for smart organizational ideas and this small home office feature in Better Homes and Gardens immediately caught my eye.  I think all of these are great examples of organized small offices, but it's the last image with the skirted desk and the clip board wall that's really calling my name.  Adding these ideas to my growing list of summer projects...

zou bisou bisou

Even though season five of Mad Men premiered over three weeks ago, I still can't get the Zou Bisou Bisou song outta' my head, (probably because I immediately downloaded it and have been playing it everyday).  Not to mention the Draper's swingin' mod Manhattan pad! In case you're not familiar with this show, the song in question is a recording of the Sixties French pop "Zou Bisou Bisou" sung by actress Jessica ParĂ©. As if that wasn't enough, I now spy this adorable number by Marchesa Notte, over at Shopbop, and all I can think (other than, "I need this!") is Zou Bisou Bisou! What can I say, I'm a Mrs. Draper wannabe!

Wednesday Wants

What's the quickest/easiest way to brighten up your face for Spring and even make your teeth look whiter? A bold, pink lipstick of course! Spotted all over Manhattan last week, YSL's Fard a Levres Rouge Pur Lipstick...the fact that I can barely pronounce it only makes me want it all the more...

Accessory Spotting

Cruising around the internet as much as I do, I frequently stumble upon many of the same products that we sell here at I always get a little thrill when these items are styled really well.  Seeing talented individuals utilize home decor accents in new and interesting ways always inspires me, especially since I now have several of these very items in my own home as well!

Brand New Musings

Lauren Muse, the designer that helped me with my own house here in New York, just updated her portfolio with these lovely images.  Lauren and I still keep in touch even though my home is for the most part "done".  Not only do I adore Lauren's aesthetic, but she's very easy to get along with and didn't let any of the stressful bits of our renovation visibly freak her out...and, trust me, there were some moments.  Having Lauren's calm presence on board made the process a whole lot less frustrating.  Something to think about if your looking for a professional to help you out.

My Article For The New York Observer!

I was so flattered when the lovely people over at the New York Home Observer contacted me to write an article.  Then, when I found out the article was about red carpet gown designer Pamella Roland's upper east side apartment (I would need to interview her!) I was beyond thrilled! So, you can imagine how excited I was to finally see the finished product yesterday.  I would love for you to check out the full article here (it starts on page 60). There's even a random Chanel item involved...

Obsession Du Jour: Cheryl Maeder Photography

It was during our recent trip to Florida that I happily discovered the vibrant photography of local artist, Cheryl Maeder.  While I adore almost every image available on her site, its the Dreamscapes series that is really calling my name.  Here are just a few examples of the ones I have my eye on for our Florida house family room.  Not only does this prolific photographer have an amazing array of images available, but she also owns Gardenshop, a fab little spot in West Palm Beach.  This darling boutique has some really great vintage finds. I can't wait to revisit.

Wednesday Wants

I've fallen hard for these wear with everything golden wedges!  A Lily Pulitzer, perennial classic, these shoes are equally as perfect with white jeans as they are with summer dresses.  Comfort and chic in one cute summer sandal~a total want on this Wednesday morning for me!

Chi-Chi-Chic in Beverly Hills

The California homes by Jen Feldman Designs have everything that I adore...(monograms aplenty, pops of purple, bold graphic accessories, lots of symmetry, great wallpapers and fabrics) Right down to the 90210 zip code! I really love New York, but, Beverly Hills? So chi-chi-chi- me! (I think I could get used to the West Coast.)
