In between endless Independence Day celebrations (fun, but seriously exhausted at this point!) I finally got a chance to check out the House Beautiful feature on designer Ashley Whittaker's latest project, this chic Manhattan apartment. The small, red, white and blue entry (above) is a design home run. There's a lot to love in this space, including my personal fave, Blue Zebrine wallpaper by Rose Cumming, so beautifully utilized here in this charming kitchen. It's all so fresh and inspiring...

I hear you on the 4th of July festivities. Almost more than I can take. G played too much golf and had too many Mount Gay & Tonics and ended up sick. Gave me a couple of quiet days to recover from all the fun.
