ReplyDeletecool new styles...
ReplyDeleteI'm still partial to the classic design. I have navy blue ones for husband/me and for our children. Your yard looks soothing.

These were all over the Casual Furniture/Living Show in Chicago last Fall. I guess they are classics! My parents were going to do some too for their W.I.N.O.S outdoor collection, but they were literally at every corner! I will have to post about them soon ;)
ReplyDeleteI guess I am still a classic girl, but I do like the wave ones! Makes me want to reach for the suncreen.

All of them are great, I especially love ones with color!
ReplyDeleteLove them! Smith and Hawkins used to have a set the exact color of my hydrangeas, and now of course I cannot get them anywhere ... got to move on these things or they go fast! But I think I prefer the traditional ones.
ReplyDeleteso glad you stopped by! I love Fiona too...such a classy girl. I have a feeling I will really enjoy your blog:)

I think my favorites are those chairs by Loll. How fun would it to be to have a bunch in different styles and colors! I'd be afraid to try it but I know there are people out there who could pull it off!
ReplyDeleteSomehow I like yours the best, although the Modirondack Chair is great, too. And all the different colours at the beach make a lovely picture.
ReplyDeleteI think Adirondacks are SO cute. I love that sage green Design by Reach one!

The Luxembourg Lounge chair by Fermob also has the Adirondack feel but metal instead of wood It is a style that has been used in the Luxembourg Gardens in Paris for over 100 years. So stylish! I got a chartreuse pair in a cheerful chartreuse to put in my shop. Lovely!
ReplyDeletehahaha great title! loving the wave collection. oh what i would give to be sitting in one on a beach or by a lake right now :)
ReplyDeletei love the painted ones in fun colors. there's something about updating a classic shape in a crazy color that gets me going :)
ReplyDeleteThe Loll's are fabulous - a must-have for "lolling" about the backyard!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous back yard!
ReplyDeleteWell, it's hard to improve upon a classic, but it appears that several have tried to! I still love the classic shape. It just evokes a certain feel that is summer to me.
ReplyDeleteYour backyard is beautiful! While I prefer the classic chair myself, the Wave Collection is fun!
ReplyDeleteI really like that second one. I'd love to get one of those for my garden.

I love the idea of painted ones in fun colors....your yard is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove the Adirondacks, like LL Bean, you can never go wrong. Your yard is beautiful, btw!
ReplyDeleteLove these pics! Totally updated versions are so cool! Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteLove! We have these...
ReplyDeletehttp://www.archiesisland.com/products/fan-back-adirondack-chair-classic-white
which we bought about five years ago... I love their updated shape. They've been fabulous for us. At that time, they were the only ones I could find that had a slightly (but not too) modern nod to them. Archie makes them himself - it's a cool story. We worked directly with him, and I loved that!
with a glass of ice mint tea, & I'm a happy camper!
ReplyDeleteLove them~
xo
Oh I love them as well. Now I just need a beach house to go with them.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen them in lucite? I found them in a magazine a while back.
Thanks for stopping by yesterday and your lovely comment!! The best part is that I got to discovered your blog..love it!!! Hope you are having a fabulous day!
ReplyDeleteThese are great! They really are comfy for curling up in with a pillow and a book for reading. I re-painted a bunch out on my parents farm a couple of years ago in a bright cheerful shade of green :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to to lounge drinking something nice with a fab beach view
ReplyDeleteGreta choices!!
Your back yard is so inviting-- I do love the modern pics you shared, but cannot get the image of your back yard out of my head. Classic wins the day for me.
ReplyDeleteI love those chairs... my parents had a few when they own a cabin on the lake.
ReplyDeleteLove your backyard it looks like a park!! I like the classic too. I did like the colorful ones from pottery barn but the others are a bit out there but interesting concept, love new ideas!! You never know when one will take off!! Happy Tues. Kathysue
ReplyDeleteI love seeing all these modern interpretations of a classic! I like some better than others, but you can't go wrong with the original.
ReplyDeleteI love to see them in bright colors, too!
Loving all your variations of the Adirondack chair, but I still think there's nothing more classic than the white ones sitting in the grass on a large property overlooking some fabulous landscape or on a porch of New England/Nantucket style home. Now that's bliss!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing such great images. See you again soon.
I hope you are having a wonderful day!

xo
invite me over now please. i'll bring the proseco.
ReplyDeleteGotta love Adirondacks in every size shape and color!! Great round up!!
ReplyDeleteI love the traditional ones you have the best. And I adore your white picket fence.
ReplyDeletei love them too! as long as they don't pinch the skin or give splinters!
ReplyDeleteI think Adirondack chairs were the first home decor item that my husband and I ever agreed on. We were debating what to buy for the backyard and were SHOCKED to agree. You see, Dave's primary aim of design is comfort, while mine is looks...and fortunately for us these accomplish both aims!
ReplyDeleteadore that Wave Collection!
ReplyDeletewe have white one's too. love the cb2 ones though.
