Whenever I see a home with amazing artwork,
killer hardwood floors,
dramatic stairways....
and breathtaking views
of the Long Island Sound...
it's hard for me not to feel flat out envious!
Do you ever get a case of the "greens"?
Are you feeling it now?
If you're really a glutton for envious emotions,
check out the rest of this beautiful home
on the designer's site: Brooke Girty Design.
I wasn't until I read this. After too little sleep last night....I'd love to be curled up with the paper and a cafe au lait on that sectional....with Maddie at her grandparents house of course :) Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteI love the view of the ocean....Wish to have that bedroom and the staircases are fab...We got a fire place last year for your living room ...and the one on the photo is stunning! I love simplicity :)
ReplyDeleteKisses and have a wonderful day!
Oh yes, a bit of envy here too! I would love to be able to step right into that last photo and enjoy my breakfast, drink my coffee and just soak in the view. Mornings come way too early around here!
ReplyDeletegorgeous! (it's too early for me to find any other words for this post...well, one more: stunning).
ReplyDeleteHere's what I'm thinking...is that the laundry room where the washing machine is located? If it's the laundry room then I'm jealous of such an amazing laundry! If it is the kitchen, I'm confused...would the homeowner really want to toss in her laundry while she's spinning her salad? Regardless, the house is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteMy green eyes are even greener - I don't think I've seen Brooke's work before so I can't wait to go to her site. I'm in love with the roof top reading nook...
ReplyDeletei want to be right in that chair in the last photograph. i get the greens often, whenever flipping through a great new design book or mag, or just driving through places like chatham, well, you know. :)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely... I'm green with envy... especially when I see that bedroom with the amazing view!!
ReplyDeleteI totally understand. The hardest thing about being a designer is that I like everything and want everything. -erica
ReplyDeleteIt IS my dream to live on the WATER someday and I'm putting it OUT there to the universe, often!!! The last two images especially fuel this dream. To wake up and see sunlight sparkling off the water or to be able to sit outside and just LOOK at it or hear it in the background as I read... that would be heaven on earth! What a lovely lovely home ~ thanks for fueling my water dreams!

ReplyDeleteIt does look absolutely beautiful; I love the dramatic stairways!
ReplyDeleteOh wow so beautiful! I am loving that kitchen!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! Just imagine walking up these stairs... having your coffee on a terace with a view like this... No, I'm absolutely not envious, not at all!
ReplyDeleteI feel it whenever I see marble counters!
ReplyDeleteOh yes I often get envious! I know it's not a good trait but I can't help myself sometimes :) This house is so dreamy. That staircase is stunning!
ReplyDeletei got the envy too. that is one amazing place. That marble sink! *sigh....You never dissapoint with your gorgeous finds and mah-velous places you post. have a lovely day sweetie!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely a case for the greens - I envision myself sashaying down the spiral steps in a summer dress, off to do something impossibly fancy by the ocean...
ReplyDeleteCan you imagine waking up to that view!
i don't know if i'd leave my house if i lived there! - the views, the comfy couches, the carrerra marble in the kitchen .. i'm just in love!!!

Gorgeous home and view. Love the sitting room (4th pic) with the ocean out the window. And I'm completely envious of any kind of laundry room, but this one? Wow.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my "poor me" post. I really appreciate your kind words. This isn't the end of the world, that's for sure, just the scary uncertain beginning of a whole new one! Eek.
Happy Thursday to you!
I always hope that the people who live in beautiful homes like you mention appreciate every moment they spend there. Wouldn't it be a shame otherwise? Love the spaces you have shown. I'd love to live on the water again. I envy the absence of clutter. In a house of kids that is a constant struggle. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteWow! These homes are amazingly beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely envious of people living in them!
I'm in flat out LUST!!!! Seeing what is possible always inspires and helps us all to do our best. xo

ReplyDeleteugh, yes, feeling it big time.
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for open water views - so tranquil and the sound of waves is so relaxing. sigh.
ReplyDeleteYes, I want that view from the bedroom also:)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful home. And yes, I'm definitely a wee bit jealous (but I'm a wee bit jealous just about anytime I open an interiors mag or scope out a great designer's portfolio). Ah well...a little jealousy is healthy, right?!
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteI don't like to call it envy because I don't wish I had it and they didn't I wish we could all have a view like that. I would want it of the Pacific since I am a Calif gal but alas I will have to settle for my visits and that is good too. Happy Thursday,Kathysue
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm absolutely feeling the envy! I want to live in the house with the dramatic staircase. Or any of them for that matter. They're all gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteWhat an absolutely beautiful house! So sorry I've been out of touch. I've been visiting but haven't been commenting because I've been so dang busy. Hope you are well.

ReplyDeleteSitting in a room full of boxes and house devoid of passion I am so envious of that darling beach bedroom....take me there! Hope you are well, next week is crunch time for us so will see you on the other side very soon.
ReplyDeleteI love dramatic staircases like the curved one you showed in the first image. I try to console myself with the thought of how difficult it would have been to get our furniture upstairs on moving day!
