Major Lodge Style...
that must be what M.L.S. stands for here, right?
This amazing Adirondack style home
is located in the neighboring town of Bedford, New York.

Several years ago, I had the pleasure of visiting this house,
before the current owners purchased it.
When this property reappeared on the market, I couldn't wait
to check out the photos. The rumors have it
that Steven Gambrel
that Steven Gambrel
was hired by the current owners to redesign the whole space.
I can not attest to the veracity of this, but I can tell you
the house looks completely different
from when I last viewed it in person.

The only remaining decor is the mural
on the dining room ceiling

(3rd photo down) which depicts the surrounding lakes outside.
The main house contains a movie theater,
billiards room and wine cellar.
Included on this lakefront property are a beautiful pool,
pool house, outdoor fireplace, play house and gym,
complete with indoor basketball court.

Plus, if you buy this house,
we would be neighbors.

{I could stop by and drink your wine.}

ReplyDeleteI thought from the 4th picture it was a hotel!! Major lodge style is right. Do they have a guest house or garage apartment I could buy instead? Maybe I could rent the playhouse!

ReplyDeleteEverything about this house is chic with modern elements. I love the staircases and furniture. The kitchen is ideal for family dinners with friends;-)

ReplyDeleteThat home is over the top incredible. One would never have to leave! Stunning!
ReplyDeleteSweetie, if they put you being a neighbor in their advertising as incentive, it would start a bidding war! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI would be so honoured if you came by and drank my wine. But, magnificent as it is, I couldn't live here - it would crush my inner peace with its opulence.

My favorite thing about this home is how non, well, lodgey ... it feels for this type of residence. The decor is understated and simple, but still lovely (dare I say classy?) and slightly rustic at the same time. Great feature!

hi there I saw you over at Ally's have been meaning to come over.. re the house I am sorry but no the interior is a bit much for me. Too much cabinetry. I might break it. And I certainly don't have enough crockery to fit in there. But the exterior is amazing and what a beautiful location. All that is lovely about the US northeast. xoxo
ReplyDeleteI got stuck at the same point as Dreamer's Den and a couple of others: 3 refrigerators just make me want to laugh!!
ReplyDeleteI'm grateful I don't have to clean this place.
Just came to visit via Coryanne! No wonder she loves your blog so much! I love it here too! Can't wait to come back and do a big catch up of your previous posts!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
Natasha.

ReplyDeleteOver the Top!
ReplyDeleteSure, I'll move there!! No Problem :)

I'm going to need that kitchen to be MINE. You could run a small and very efficient catering outfit from a kitchen like that.
