...we can go where we want to
A place where they will never find
And we can act like we come from out of this world
Leave the real one far behind
And we can dance...

ReplyDeletewhen I was a kid, my mom would make me wear these plaid kilt like skirts to school... and they always had a HUGE safety pin holding them together.
ReplyDeleteNeedless to say, I was teased mercilessly.
Sketch42- Did we have the same mother? Those huge gold safety pins still haunt me (well, not really, but close).

I LOVE this handbag!! its like the one zooey deschanel has in yes man! i searched the internet for it at the time but couldnt find it! where did you find this!!
ReplyDeleteOMG, can I tell you something so embarrassing? I actually saw Men Without Hats in concert - back in the day. (What were we thinking?) I remember they had somebody in some sort of animal suit come out and dance during this song. So. Weird.
ReplyDeleteIt makes me want to go to a big swap meet and find a vendor of good old kilt pins. I could use them. My cousin gave my girls antique lingerie pins. My grandmother used them--little straight pins with seed pearls that adjusted their undergarments. They wore them so proudly on their puffy sleeve dresses. Pins! forgot about them.
ReplyDeleteLove it when utilitarian meets chic! I appreciate you for stopping by my blog regularly and leaving a comment. Hope your week ahead is great, Sue!
