Calendars As Art

Spotted this cute idea over at Sunset Magazine! At month's end, clip away the date portion of your calendar and frame it, over time you will have an art collection of the past year.  Since I love my Jonathan Adler wall calendar so much, I could see myself doing this for my home office.  The lovely Bon Bon Rose Girls, are hosting a giveaway of these very calendars this week, so be sure to head over to enter.

And, speaking of artwork, Bethany of Dirksen Dabbles has asked me to guest post today about the right way to hang art.  I'm not sure that there really is a "right" way, but, if you're curious to see what else I have to say about such matters, please stop by!

  1. I used to do this when I was in high school and college; I could never bear to throw away calendar pages when they were so pretty! Now I just use my iPad for a calendar. :)

  2. Lovely idea. Do you have any good tips for recycling Christmas cards? I feel guilty tossing them.

  4. And ALSO speaking of artwork, I can't believe that I hadn't thought of til today to frame a vintage silk scarf. (!!!!) I typed "orange silk scarf" in etsy... $12 for an amazing print?!? I can't even function thinking about it.
