Over the long holiday weekend, I devoured Steve Martin's latest novel,
An Object of Beauty
. Based on New York City's art scene in the nineties, the book starts out at Sotheby's and follows the career of young and ambitious Lacey Yeager. I loved this book as much as I enjoyed Martin's prior novel,
Shop Girl
, not to mention the
movie that followed, starring Claire Danes. If
An Object of Beauty also gets made into a movie, I think anything designed by
Eric Cohler, would make for the perfect set...as this is exactly what I was picturing in my mind while reading this captivating book!
