Back in March I did a post about the outdated and poorly lit kitchen in our Vermont ski condo. I also included inspirational images for the re-design of the new kitchen. Over the summer we completed this project, and last week I snapped a few (grainy) shots to share here. Adding extra lighting, pale gray painted wood cabinets, light gray granite counter tops and shiny stainless appliances had a tremendous effect on this space. The dark wood floors were a nice upgrade from the previous uneven thick muddy tiles (which, inexplicably also served as the previous back splash). Next summer: the bathrooms!
Here is a shot of the old kitchen, from when we purchased the unit in 2008.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous redo Sue! Is that an Elkay faucet? XX
ReplyDeleteFabulous! Don't you just love it? I adore the light gray granite and cabinets? Can I ask what the paint color and the granite are? Also, just curious if you spend much time here and how close it is to your house. We have a little place a couple of hours away that we use all summer long and are going to try to go next weekend. It just makes us feel like we've really gotten away. do you feel the same? Anyway. Great job!!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty extreme makeover! I don't know how you can stand to get rid of those bar stools though :)
ReplyDeletesuperb!! Awesome makeover!! I love the new colours.. :-)
