The title of this post could be referencing the well balanced mix of several styles and design periods in this creative and beautiful home. However, what I was really aiming at here, is the fact that I just discovered that this house belongs to the owner of one of my favorite design stores, Mason. Not only have I purchased several items from this fun shop, but I even wrote about a visit here. What made this article from New England Home even more special for me, aside from these amazing images, was that it was styled and written by Stacy Kunstel, whom I've had the pleasure of meeting several times!
Hi Sue!
ReplyDeleteAs you say, the mix between styles are amazing in this home. The blanket on the first pic looks beautiful and cozy. I would love to have one of those! Also love the oriental and spiritual touches in this home and the lightness OMG, its amazing!!!

Very intelligent blend of styles! I really liked the zebra!
ReplyDeleteIt's so refreshing to see rooms that aren't made of matched sets and that include pieces personally significant to the owners.
ReplyDeleteThat round table must be a cousin to my grandmothers (c. 1910's) where I'm having breakfast. My husband would be surprised to come home and find that a zebra had replaced one of the kitties, but would also wonder when I disappeared to bring it back home from what could have been an amazing trip.
Such a wonderful mix -- tough to pull off, but done with such flare here. All that bright color...it would be hard not to be happy there! Love it.
ReplyDeleteSo my style! Love all the fun elements! XX
ReplyDeleteWow, there are some statement pieces in that space, it's brilliant!
ReplyDeleteLove the colors and the sweet Zebra too.
ReplyDeleteBest,
Colleen

I just love, love, all the color and pattern. And those raspberry chairs, orange sofa! Oh my!
ReplyDeleteamazing photos! I could sit and stare at them for a few house if i didnt have work to do. I really adore the orange sofa. Orange can be a heavy color but the room still felt very light and airy.
ReplyDeleteThe mix really works! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteCould see myself sitting by the windows in that chair by the zebra.

What amazing images. I would happily hang out in any of those rooms.
ReplyDeleteHi nice to meet you!. Love your blog. Thanks for stopping by the other day. I love the shot of pinky purple in some of the pics (or would you call that raspberry?). It's a colour that i'm kind of afraid of and yet always makes a room look fabulous. Also was an exchange student in New Canaan when I was 17 so have incredibly fond memories of that town.
ReplyDeleteWow- what beautifully designed spaces! I love the pops of color and the amazing art above the bed.
ReplyDeletealthough i don't decorate with color, i love it in other houses. this space is awesome!

What a huge compliment, Sue that you would feature this house! I loved styling this shoot and writing about Mason owner Kristin Gallipoli. She lives fearlessly and I think that really shows in her interiors and in her store. If only we could all have confidence like this! Hope to see you at gift show next week! xosk
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Eye candy on a dreary day in New England! I love the juxtapostion of styles, bold colors and texture.
ReplyDeleteThis is pretty interesting. I like all these styles, but I think the second from the top down is my very favorite.
ReplyDeleteOhm. Yeah. That house is awesome. David Hicks+WombChair+Fuchsia+Cheetah=LOVE.
