January is a great time to reflect upon personal style. A new year always sparks talk about trends, hot colors and what to expect in the coming months ahead. As I contemplate renovating our family room this year, the one element that I already know will remain constant is the color blue. While the furniture might get replaced or reupholstered, I'm happy to say that the palette will not change. I love the serene feelings that blue lends to a space, whether it's a whole room or just a few accents. Speaking of constants... I also still love the design work of
Steven Gambrel, whose sophisticated interiors really showcase the color blue so beautifully.

ReplyDeleteMy Grandmother Elsie had a home full of beautiful soft robin's egg blue and gold. She passed away when I was little but I still remember being enveloped by blue and knew right where to go for the shoe lid of crayons, paper and hershey bars. I do love how blue reminds me of her.

I love blue! I know everyone is saying this is the year for green, and I already have quite a bit of that in my home, I'm finding myself gravitating more and more to blues.
