This week has been especially cold here in New York...and dry, dry, dry. Between bouts of static electricity and forced air heat, my hair and my skin have really been feeling it. Luckily a friend recommended that I try this amazing product, Kiehl's Superbly Restorative Dry Oil. Not only is this treatment aptly named, but I'm now a full on proud Kiehl's product junkie...love this stuff!
PS. Another great tip from another friend of mine, recently helped with my embarrassing dry heel situation. Just slather your feet in Vaseline everyday, before putting on your socks...this worked like a charm for me, and far better than all the other pedicures and expensive products that I had already tried! What's your secret skin remedy for winter?
It could be my phone but your "dry oil" link goes to a hair product :-)
ReplyDeleteBoth links go to a hair oil :-))
ReplyDeleteWhoops! Thanks so much @Melissa W. for pointing that out...two cups of coffee later and I think I have the link up right now:)
ReplyDeleteStarted using argan oil after seeing the prod written up in one of my mags. another friend recommended coconut oil from the grocery store.
ReplyDeleteI,ve been using the Vaseline trick for 15 years. I exfoliate every day and put vaseline on before I get dressed. It absorbs pretty quickly so it doesn't mess up clothes or shoes... and my feet are always beach ready.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of vaseline but for my feet I switched to Aquaphor advanced therapy healing ointment. I buy the big 14oz tubs on Amazon. When I read that Beyonce slathered herself in this stuff, I had to try it. It works. With socks of course.
ReplyDeleteThat dry oil is my favourite! It absorbs easily, you can use it for body and hair, and the scent is gorgeous, not too strong.
ReplyDeleteI love Kiehls, but for feet and legs, it's a quick slather of Vaseline Intensive Rescue Moisturizer before bed that keeps my tootsies in the pink.
ReplyDeleteohhh must read up on this stuff. does it absorb fast into your skin? i pretty much believe whatever you say because you like similar products as myself :) that YSL lip balm is the best, btw. wish it wouldnt just slide off my lips so fast though.
