I'm not the only one struggling with the winter blues. In fact, almost everyone I talk to lately is feeling kind of "blah." While the title of this post is a
not so clever play on the predominant colors of this chic New York City townhouse, it's the amazing art that re-sparked my interest in this feature. Designed by
Wayne Nathan and Carol Egan back in 2006, the enviable collection in this home, includes favorite contemporary artists Damien Hirst and Donald Baechler, just to name a few. Revisiting these spaces with all these compelling pieces, boosted my mood quite a bit...like only beautiful art in the dead of winter can sometimes...I think a much needed art gallery field trip is in my future.

ReplyDeleteAnd I hear ya on the blues/blahs. We've had a good run of decent weather here in Denver (50s most days), but it's always overcast. Bleh.
Yeah, Im feeling a tough start of the year here, too. It's not uncommon this year -let's all band together and hold each other up! Hope your day is sunny.

ReplyDeleteI'm over winter too! Can't wait for spring to arrive. These images certainly brighten my day and lift my spirits on a cold and gloomy day like today. Blue is such a soothing color! That first image is fabulous. I love that chair!

ReplyDeleteI can't wait for the winter to be over either. Lately the days have been very sunny so as long as I don't step outside into the freezing weather it is nice. It's just the short days that I hate, can't wait till summer when it is still bright out after 6!
