Before we shot our
look book, I searched around for visual inspiration and
pinned a whole bunch of pretty vignettes. Now that our look book shoot is over, I went back to look at these images once again and noticed that a very large percentage of them contain some sort of small scale art work, either propped up in the vignette or on a tiny easel. Clearly, I have a thing for mini-paintings...maybe it's a cry from my subconscious desire to start painting again this summer
~"why not just start small"? Do you ever notice a pattern in the things that you're drawn to?

love all of these pieces especially the vibrant and colorful ones!
ReplyDeletewell, mini paintings are super cute!
ReplyDeleteI love tiny art as well....because it makes you look twice and study it further....you end up focusing more on a small piece than on a large one in my opinion. Beautiful round-up!
ReplyDeleteTiny art has become my new thing too! Such an easy way to add personality to a space.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful works of art and artful accessories in these lovely vignettes, Sue!
ReplyDeleteVery special, it is like when people see the Mona Lisa at the Louvre and are surprised at the small size!

I love the idea of layering small pieces! Thanks for your sweet tweet Sue, so nice of you!!! xx
ReplyDeleteLove all of these!! Usually I'm drawn to really large scale art for walls, but I love the idea of decorating on tables with tiny art, especially in ornate frames!
ReplyDeleteGreat images! I heart tiny art, too!!!! A great way to incorporate artistic touches without all the wall space!!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see your new cookbook!
xoxo Elizabeth
I love when I find trends in my pinnings. It's a great way to get to know yourself and style better.
