My fall shopping has officially started. Given that I'm a work from home mom, my day to day wardrobe really just consists of yoga pants and old t-shirts, jeans and tees, and on fancier days, silk tops. For me, it's all about accessories and shoes...the little touches that can zhush up any outfit. And jackets and coats! (but that's a whole other post for another day...)
A new season for me always means experimenting with new nail colors...I'm loving Essie's new "after school boy blazer" for toes and "power clutch" for my hands...gotta' love the names!
Basic tees always look more polished with a fun statement necklace, but I shy away from the really expensive ones because they're too trendy to get, well...too spendy... this "dream catcher" by J.Crew and this one from Shopbop, are at the top of my list.
Every fall there's always a few boots and flats that catch my eye and become my latest must haves. I've already hit the purchase button on these classic Lanvin ballet flats (seriously comfortable with that hidden one inch wedge...) and next up for me will be these laid back chic Ogden flat sued boots by Joie.
Infinity scarves have got to be the easiest way to accessorize, ever.. I love to choose ones that incorporate a bit of black or white in them along with a pop of color, like this one by Diane von Furstenberg, or this one by Missoni, thrown over a plain black or white tee, you look instantly pulled together...love that.
Finally, every girl I know is obsessed with clutches...including myself. Dressy or casual, day or night, we just can't get enough. This printed haircalf clutch by Elizabeth and James and this casual leather pouch by Michael Kors, are both calling my name.

Sue , yes, the right accessories can make any outfit look as if you've just naturally put yourself together in a great way! Love your picks! I am a earrings girl, scarves, the clutch, polished nails, thrown on a cute jacket over my jeans and away we go!
