Cape Crusades

One of my favorite ways to layer up for the fall is with a cape or poncho.  Both styles always catch my eye in street style photography and more recently on chic New York ladies here in my area. I love that this look has had staying power for several seasons already; it's easy to see why~ ponchos and capes are as stylish as they are practical and comfy.

Burberry's sold out blanket poncho is very "of the moment," but I prefer a more streamlined look. I've featured a few of my favorites here today.  From cape coats to blouses and blazers with "cape like" sleeves and of course, my favorite ~ the sweater poncho ( I love the way Olivia Palermo accessorized hers with these fab over the knee boots) Easy to wear, warm and chic. P.S.  this poncho from last fall is still a "go to" favorite.
