Tory Burch's stunning, antique Georgian home, Westerly, was recently published in Architectural Digest. Even though this home has been all over the internet, I couldn't help but to dedicate a post to it here. The beautiful interiors designed by Daniel Romualdez were so inspiring, but it's the amazing outdoor shots of this picturesque property that really grabbed my attention.
These past few months, I've been determined to have our own red brick home painted white. Yet, after seeing how stately and beautiful Westerly looked, I'm starting to rethink the whole idea. Instead, I think I need to focus more on our surrounding landscaping. Much the same way (albeit on a much smaller scale) Tory's landscape architect, Perry Guillot, did with her property. Perhaps larger boxwoods and ivey will help soften the look of our house?
This wouldn't be the first time this style icon's decor has directly influenced my own. It was Tory's stunning Abre de Matisse Quadrille print in her iconic dining room that inspired me to use it in my own home.
