Even though our beach house renovations are far from finished, I'm starting to give some thought to the furnishings (also, talking about moving ac units and rerouting lighting is not exactly pretty or all that interesting). One thing I'm giving some serious thought to is a canopy bed in the master bedroom.
When I was very little, I was obsessed with the idea of a traditional canopy bed, one with curtains and swathed in fabric. I thought the whole tented concept seemed very cozy and chic. Fast forward to my adult life, where I tend to worry about dust and how a very elaborate canopy bed would even stay clean?! Which brings me to these more modern iterations of a canopy bed...more like a connected four poster, but with no extra fabric to clean and care for. What do you think of this look?

Love it, just be aware of where your chandelier will hit/hang visually with the posts if your ceilings aren't vaulted. We had to move ours!
