ReplyDeletefor some reason ever since i was a kid i loved seeing grids, especially when i could see structures being built. it is nice to know what the support system is, how it works....kind of like seeing the skeleton of a building and furniture.

Love all of these! What an awesome post idea. The little dark orange stools are my favorite, I'm already mentally placing them in my bedroom!
ReplyDeleteI typically think this element is a bit too rustic- but there are some nice cleaned up versions here. Pretty!
ReplyDeletePS. I am doing a giveaway on my website. You have to enter- its a gorgeous piece! www.aspiringkennedy.com
This can remind me of barns but these spaces are gorgeous! I especially like it on the red stools -- so cute!

Love the island in #3 and the door in #4. I think x's are so classic and so current all rolled into one! Great images!!
ReplyDeleteGreat images....For some reason I really love the table with the two stools underneath. Not my usual decorating style but I like!
ReplyDeletevery x-y - I like! and I noticed that you are on your inspiration blog list. I like that a lot!
ReplyDeleteand by x-y, I meant ex-ee. the fact that I'm having to retype the comment to clarify my bad pun, not a good sign.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love x-based stools!
ReplyDeleteHow FUN is this?! You are so clever! I've always wanted a pair of X stools and loved seeing all of the other "X's" you came up with : ) !
ReplyDeletexx Suzanne
Xactly what I needed today. Design fun!!! You are a clever clever lady!!!
ReplyDeletexoxo, E
The first thing I notice in an image is the "x". Not sure why but my eye is just drawn to them. This post was fantastic. I did a similar post early in my blog and some of the "x's were so obscure it was like a game of Where's Wally, lol.
ReplyDeleteThankfully yours were a little more overt:o)

I love the x element. We did custom shelves in our library and did the iron X's on the ends with thick rustic wood shelves. they turned out great. As usual you are right on. Mona
