Progress Peeks: Our New House

tray // vase // mirror // frame

As I mentioned last week, we just hit the nine month mark here at our new house. There's been a lot of progress in terms of getting the decor around here finished. Probably the most exciting thing to happen lately was the wall paper installation (Quadrille's Arbre de Matisse) in my little vanity/dressing area (above and below).

While summer is not over yet, I'm pretty happy with the amount of things we were able to cross off our home project list this summer - and I'm still confident that we can squeeze a few more in before Labor Day!

Another big home improvement project was the completion of our custom built in book case in the master bedroom sitting area.  We might add a television where the blue art print is now...still undecided.

The dining room remains as the sole large project that we really need to tackle. Pretty new sconces on either side of the fireplace seemed like a good place to start.

Muse Interiors sourced some beautiful glass and brass towel bars for the powder room and now the only thing we are waiting for in this room are the custom window shades.

I had a moment of inspiration with the guest room bedding situation. I grabbed two throw pillows from a love seat in the master and once I plopped them down here I knew they were going to stay.  New throw pillows now on order to replace the ones I permanently borrowed.

More greenery was needed in the family room. Luckily I caught a great sale at a local nursery and brought home the plant on the right to balance out the one we already had on the left. I'm planning on leaving the windows as is, so now the only things missing from this room are just a fireplace screen and tools.

  6. Your Quadrille's Arbre de Matisse paper is beautiful. Its obviously the 'reverse' pattern, but I can't make out which color? Can you tell us?

    1. It looks like a soft grey - is it the white on white?

    2. It's a soft gray blue, it's the colorway from the fabric, custom made for the walllpapers.
