Today I'd like to introduce you to Lisa Furey, the talented lady behind the design firm, Barefoot Interiors. Lisa has graciously invited us into her charming carriage house. This fun "getaway" house multi-tasks as Lisa's office, accommodates guests and also serves as a hang out space for Lisa's two college age daughters. I love how Lisa included what she calls a "tea kitchen" with a microwave and mini fridge, cleverly concealed behind closed doors.
Lisa was kind enough to include photos (all taken by John McManus) of the inside and outside of her lovely carriage house. I couldn't help but notice how similar our design style is- I absolutely love the blue front door, not to mention the clever built in beds. Thanks so much Lisa, for sharing this fabulous place with us today!

Lisa
I love her style - spare without bring bare. Just the way I would want a designer to decorate my house. Her site was also, very informative. I do wish she had a blog that we could follow. Thank you, Lisa, for sharing your carriage house.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Joanne! A blog is a great idea - I am getting ready to build a home in SC. Am thinking about writing about those trials and tribulations, the selections process and the overall construction process, start to finish. What do you think? I'd add photos of the jobsite and job progress....Glad you like the carriage house.
DeleteBest,
Lisa
Lisa was also the designer who helped us freshen up a tired second home in Hilton Head. We now love it more than our primary residence! Watch the skies...Lisa is a rising star.
ReplyDeleteBetty, you are the best! You make my job so much more fun! Can't wait to get to work in Chicago! Look forward to seeing you.

ReplyDeleteLaurel, thanks so much! The setting is gorgeous and so peaceful. Life is complex, alright ;)
DeleteCome for a visit if you are in SC - would be fun to meet in person!
Thanks for all.
