One of the nice things about writing a blog is the ability to look back
and reflect on special moments. I found myself looking into the archives
this week, feeling sentimental about so many different things. Today
I'm sharing some of the highlights from 2016.
Last January our puppy Cosmo joined our family. We've made a lot of progress as new dog owners, I plan on posting a Cosmo update next month.
This is our third holiday season here in Connecticut, a lot of design progress happened here at the house this year. In February, I shared a shot of my husband's office. The only thing left to do here is hang some window treatments, but we can't seem to make a decision on this at all.
March saw the completion of my "dream closet" and I loved sharing the before and afters here.
In April I got out of my travel rut and took an amazing trip to Paris with my close friend. See my Girl's Trip Paris Travel Guide here.
In May I completed my third One Room Challenge! Love how beautifully Nicole Cohen captured our laundry room.
In June I was thrilled (and very nervous) to be a guest on James Swan's Million Dollar Decorating podcast!
In July, this progress update of our blue and white bathroom was one of the most popular posts of 2016.
In August I finally made it up to the Serena and Lily store in Westport, CT and fell in love with everything I saw. I'm excited to return this winter and see all the new rooms.
In September I appeared for the first (and only) time on Face Book live on The House Beautiful page to talk about my One Room Challenge projects! Almost 50, 000 people viewed this-it's a good thing I didn't realize how many people would be watching because I was already nervous enough!
In October I featured another popular design progress update here at our house. Turns out you love blue and white as much as I do!
November marked a full year of blogger home tours with Laura Trevey's beautiful house. I hope to keep this fun series going into 2017.
And now here we are in December, with me trying to finish up a few last design projects at home.
Thanks for an amazing year! Looking forward to 2017!
Loved this, Sue! Little Cosmo is made for your home and family. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post, so enjoy yours and next year I am making more time to come to this gorgeous site. Thought of you up in Stowe this fall while we were on our RV tour across the country, even bought a book on the Trapp family...Can't wait to see what you have in store for us in 2017 ~ Cheers!
