The Zhush: Outdoor Inspiration

Memorial Day weekend is almost here! After one of the worst winters on record in New York, spring arrived slowly and now the official unofficial start of summer is just days away. It's strange how you can both eagerly anticipate something and yet be completely taken off guard by it's arrival at the same time, but that pretty much sums it up.

We're scrambling to get our outdoor spaces summer ready. There's still some damage left from the winter, and we have a long list of projects that we hope to get finished by July 4th. I'm happy to report that we've finally made progress on the outdoor shower I've been talking about since 2012, and then again last summer (I hope to have photos soon!) Now, we're considering building a small outdoor kitchen, adding a free standing pergola and bolstering our landscaping with more boxwoods and an all white flower color scheme.

Today I'm sharing some of the ideas I've found as inspiration. I love finding beautiful landscaping ideas on Pinterest (you can follow my two outdoor boards here and here).
