The Weekend Wrap Up

This week was a blur. We came home from our Thanksgiving trip to Florida on Sunday (note to self-NEVER travel on the Sunday after Thanksgiving) after a long, flight delayed odyssey of travel - and I've been basically playing catch up all week.

While we were in Florida, I nagged my daughters to help me figure out Snapchat. It's not intuitive like Instagram, but my curiosity prevailed... I really wanted to see what all the noise was about. So now I'm on it! Follow me @thezhush :) (I still don't really get it "tho")

SURFING:

Gift wrapping tricks for lazy people (raises hands/hates wrapping)

Nancy Meyers's set designer spills her design secrets.

It's not your imagination, Instagram captions are getting longer...much longer!

SHOPPING:

Despite my best efforts, I did not get all of my shopping done, but I did accomplish a lot this week. Hanukkah starts this Sunday evening-yikes, and I still need to get a few things.... like candles!

We've got a few parties on the calendar this month, I have a feeling this dress is going to get a lot of wear.

Our dining room wallpaper is in the process of going up. The house is literally humming with activity (really, the wallpaper hanger has been humming, all.day.) We are wrapping up rooms left and right. Including the arrival of this fab marble and brass end table-perfect for our bedroom sitting room area. More on the home design progress next week...

Also, plenty of gift guides: Hostess Gifts, Gifts Under $100, Fashion Accessory Gifts and Gifts for Teen Girls.

BLOGGING:

Mark D. Sikes - so much inspiration!

Great Holiday Decor Ideas via Elizabeth Moyer's beautiful home.

And, because I get so many emails about monogram orders-last's year's review of monogram etiquette. (really just the order you want the intitals in).

Happy Weekend!

  3. Gorgeous table from West Elm! That would look pretty just about anywhere, but I can't wait to see the space that you put it in. :-) Hope you've had a great weekend!
