Progress Peeks: Our New House

blue and white ginger jars // Beautiful // A House in the Country

I managed to keep the design momentum from September up right into this month...although just recently things are starting to slow down again. Here's the latest bunch of updates to our home. Notice I'm still calling it our new home, even though we will be living here exactly two years next month!

The round table above was once in our foyer at our old home, but now we have it in the guest room. Prior to these new blue and white jars, I had a bunch of framed family photos displayed, but this always looked a little chaotic. Three blue and white jars, two favorite new design books and some fresh flowers make the room look a lot more serene and pulled together.

I also added some much needed light to the guest room with this Grasshopper style floor lamp that I found over at Overstock.com for a great price.

Not too far from the guest room upstairs is a large open space. Our new living room is smaller than our old one, so we put most of the furniture that didn't fit in the new living room here in this space. Muse Interiors helped us pull the room together with a fun modern orbit light fixture and this pretty new blue Greek key rug. I got a lot of questions on Instagram about the grid of art on the wall. While the actual prints are no longer available to purchase, I would recommend checking out Framebridge to create something similar.

Finally, I ordered this fabulous new velvet ottoman from Pottery Barn Teen for my closet. Cosmo completely approves.
